Cast Dies

There is probably not a single one of us who sometimes has not wished that theft for instance should be punished by chopping hands off. Still, we don't do it. Why? Maybe because tens of people die yearly just because they are stupid enough to stick their fingers into sockets out of curiosity.

Today, a dictator was sentenced to death. Nota bene, by hanging. A firend asked whether I was against capital punishment per se. Avoiding all studies of prisons being corrective institutions, a word for the time spent on thinking how life sucks once you're deposed. And, what about setting a better example and showing off in front of that cell TV?

One additional complication is the US role. Far from being angels, as only a lunatic can expect anyway, they stand vulnerable to being accused of running a puppet case.

And what of monstrosities? I personally come from a country where it was served in America for dinner. None complained too vigorously. Hungary is but another current example.

And what next? I asked my Mum about the Middle East when it recently started. She replied wisely: they mess around where they shouldn't – until something vile occurs.
